This 5-hour immersive workshop will show you how to draw the portrait with bold marks, confident structure, and expressive rhythm. I’ll guide you through how I see, what I look for, and how to follow that visual instinct—drawing from life with vine charcoal on large-format newsprint.
Through live demos, short pose studies, and longer drawing blocks, we’ll break down the head’s structure, proportions, and emotional energy—one gesture at a time. You’ll get personal feedback in a fun, focused, and supportiveenvironment.
Whether you’re new to portrait drawing or ready to break out of stiffness and reconnect with the fundamentals, this class will give you the skills and mindset to keep going.
